The Academy Physiotherapist will work closely with the Lead Academy Sports Therapist and Lead Academy Physiotherapist to deliver first-class medical support to Academy players from U9–U16.

This role will primarily involve providing pitch-side first aid, injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation during training and matches across the week, while also supporting the implementation of injury-prevention strategies and player screening.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the health, wellbeing, and physical development of Academy players, while maintaining clear communication with the medical team to deliver consistent care in line with club protocols.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide pitch-side first aid and immediate care at Academy training sessions and fixtures
  • Assess, treat, and deliver rehabilitation programmes for injured Academy players
  • Support with screening, injury-prevention strategies, and load management
  • Work collaboratively with coaches and medical staff to ensure player welfare and development
  • Clearly and promptly communicate all clinical findings, interventions, and updates to the Lead Academy Sports Therapist/Physiotherapist
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in line with club standards
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Lead Academy Sports Therapist/Physiotherapist
