Cambridge United Academy will take on West Ham U16s on Wednesday 16th April 2025 in the fourth annual Terry Baker Memorial Fixture…
The evening will celebrate the success of the Academy over the past season with an Awards Dinner at 5pm, followed by the Memorial Fixture against West Ham United U16s at 7:30pm. All supporters are welcome to attend and tickets are priced at £5 for Adults, £1 for U18s.
The event is named in memory of Terry Baker, a lifelong supporter of the U's who helped to ensure the existence of the Club by contributing financially throughout some of the Club's lowest points.
Terry served on the Board of Directors, presided as Chairman on three occasions and was named an Honorary Director in 2016. Sadly, Terry passed away two years later in 2018.
Dom Knighton said, “We are delighted to again announce details of our annual Terry Baker Memorial Fixture and Scholars Awards Evening at the Cledara Abbey Stadium.
“We look forward to welcoming Val and the Baker family to the Football Club as we celebrate our Academy programme and remember Terry who was a huge advocate of the youth system.
“We hope to attract as many fans to the fixture on the evening to get a glimpse of some of the exciting talent progressing through our pathway.
“This fixture is an excellent experience for our young players some of whom will be playing in our stadium for the first time. We hope to attract as big a crowd as possible to really add to this.”
