Help break Guinness World Record attempt with Cambridge United Women and Majority Audio…
Cambridge United Women are inviting supporters to be part of history on Sunday 29 March, as the Club teams up with front-of-shirt sponsor Majority to attempt a Guinness World Record during the club's penultimate home game of the 2025/26 season…
The U’s will welcome London Bees to the Cledara Abbey Stadium (2pm kick-off), with half-time set to feature a unique world-record attempt for the largest number of Bluetooth speakers played simultaneously.
In partnership with Cambridge-based audio technology company Majority, fans attending the match will be invited to take part by playing a Majority Move WR speaker in unison at half time. Each participating supporter will receive a free speaker (RRP £39) to take home, as well as the chance to win a commemorative medal or t-shirt.
The event aims to attract a record crowd for a Cambridge United Women’s fixture and is open to families, local schools and the wider Cambridge community. Alongside the match and record attempt, a range of family-friendly activities and refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.
Tickets for the match are priced at just £5 for adults, with children admitted free.
Majority will be aiming to surpass the current Guinness World Record of 1,000 Bluetooth speakers playing simultaneously, a mark held since 2017.
Eddie Latham, Co-Founder of Majority, said, "We are beyond excited to be working with our partners, CUWFC, to make this event happen, and can’t wait to welcome both new and returning fans to share this moment with us. Our beloved football club is the bedrock of the Cambridge community, and getting everybody together during the final game of the women’s season to break this world record will be nothing short of spectacular.
"Not only will guests go home with a free, high-quality speaker, but they will also have memories to last a lifetime. It’s going to be a really special occasion, and I hope you’re able to join us there!”
Gisela Otten, Chair of the Board of Cambridge United Women, added, "Over the past couple of years, it has been remarkable to see the growth of the game and more women and girls participating in football at the local, national, and international level. We hope that this event sheds light on the fantastic talent within our women’s team and helps inspire the next generation of female players to get involved with football in Cambridge.
"Our squad have been performing at a high level all season and we’ve achieved some fantastic results. We cannot wait to welcome fans on 29 March to watch what will be an exciting end to our campaign. This is not only about breaking the world record, but breaking down boundaries and showcasing what is possible for women and girls in sport, and we’d love to see you cheering the team on from the stands.”
