PROGRAMME PREVIEW | CRAWLEY TOWN – JACK ROLES

1 November 2019

Take a sneak peek at this weekend’s match day programme and the player feature with U’s loanee Jack Roles!

The Amber Rambler will be available to buy around the ground, from the CFU Van, and in the club shop for just £3. Tickets for tomorrow’s fixture are still available online here, and will also be available in the ticket office on match day until kick off at 3:00pm.

PROGRAMME PREVIEW:

"I've had a few cuts and bruises! It's different but I wouldn't say it's a complete different game. Football's football and at the end of the day I'm here to learn and I'm picking up a lot.

"I'm loving it so far. Everyone asks me if I'm liking it and I tell them how much fun I'm having. It's quite refreshing after being at Tottenham from such an early age to moving here it's been like a breath of fresh air. It's something different and I'm relishing it."

The 20-year old has contributed to Colin Calderwood's side in a number of varying ways so far this season, including his ability to find the back of the net.

'Jack Roles scores goals' was the phrase associated with the youngster by Spurs fans when he switched to United ahead of the season, but even Roles himself admits they've been more spectacular than he's used to scoring!

"It's funny you should say that because a lot of people say that I'm always in the right place at the right time! Since I've been here they have all been quite good goals. I will take any goal though.

"I remember at the Macclesfield game, I tried to play a ball over the top to Paul (Lewis) and it didn't quite come off but it fell back nicely to me and I thought why not try something! I'm lucky I connected well with it.

"And the Exeter one at home, I tried a few efforts on goal in the first half but they didn't seem to work. For the actual goal I didn't actually quite connect with it properly, I'm just glad it paid off and I'm happy I was able to put us 2-0 up at an important moment in that match."
