Vacancy: Women's General Manager

Cambridge United Women's player

Cambridge United Women are entering a defining phase. With new investment from ownership and a move to Cambridge University’s Grange Road Stadium next season, which is the first time in the club’s history that the women’s team will play all their home games in Cambridge, we have a unique opportunity to build something distinctive and sustainable in the women’s game...

To support higher standards, faster delivery, and professionalisation on and off the pitch, the club is pleased to announce the creation of the role of General Manager which will oversee all aspects of Cambridge United Women’s Football Club’s day-to-day operations.

The General Manager will lead the next phase of development and professionalisation, strengthening the infrastructure that supports the Women’s First Team, while growing the fan base, creating an exceptional matchday experience, and driving commercial revenue. This follows the club’s recent move of the team to the University of Cambridge’s Grange Road Stadium, in the heart of the city.

Key responsibilities include overseeing all operational, administrative, and strategic aspects of the women’s team. This includes leading football operations, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with FA and League regulations, supporting player and staff recruitment, driving marketing and engagement activity to grow the fan base, and developing and managing key civic and commercial partnerships, working closely with the CUWFC Board, staff and volunteers.

Existing Head of Female Football and Boys Youth Development Charlotte Crisp who currently holds the part time role as General Manager will transition from the role and oversee responsibility for the Under 18’s, as well as the wider female pathway. In addition, she will support the Women’s Board in relation to its technical strategy and player recruitment.
