Working as a key member of the Club’s Performance & Medical Department, the post-holder will lead the delivery of an evidence-based physical preparation programme, including strength and power development, speed and conditioning work, GPS and force-plate monitoring, daily readiness assessments, individual development planning, and on-pitch physical preparation.
This varied role requires a forward-thinking, detail-driven practitioner capable of collaborating closely with coaching and medical staff to integrate physical principles into the football programme, manage training load, support return-to-play processes, and maintain high-performance standards within an elite environment.
Attendance at all First Team home and away matches is required.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individual and squad-based strength, power, speed and conditioning programmes.
- Leading pitch-based warm-ups, speed exposures, neuromuscular prep and physical conditioning.
- Implementing individualised development plans aligned to player profiles and periodisation.
- Managing daily monitoring processes, including GPS, force plate data, heart rate, RPE and wellness.
- Producing reports and insights to inform coaches and performance staff.
- Supporting load management across microcycles and contributing to return-to-play conditioning.
- Leading physical testing and profiling processes throughout the season.
- Working collaboratively with coaches, medical, nutrition, psychology and analytics staff.
- Upholding the Club’s performance and professional standards.
