James Gibbons has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award...
One of the team’s unquestioned leaders, Gibbons has led by example with a series of outstanding defensive performances throughout March. His contributions helped the U’s record the best defensive record in the league for the month, with three clean sheets and just two goals conceded.
At the other end, his headed goal against Salford City secured a vital three points for the U’s.
It's the third month in a row that United have representation in the monthly shortlist, following Neil Harris and Ben Knight named Manager and Player of the Month for January, and Kell Watts being nominated in February.
Watts is shortlisted alongside:
- Kane Drummond (Oldham Athletic)
- Mark Helm (Fleetwood Town)
- Bobby Jamwa (Newport County)
