Cambridge United Academy will welcome West Ham United U16s to the Cledara Abbey Stadium on Wednesday 4 March 2026 for the fifth staging of the Terry Baker Memorial Fixture…
The evening will begin with the Academy Awards Dinner at 5pm, recognising the achievements of players and staff across the past season, before attention turns to the pitch for the Memorial Fixture, which kicks off at 7:30pm.
Supporters are warmly invited to attend the fixture, with tickets priced at £5 for Adults and £1 for Under 18s.
The event is held in honour of Terry Baker, a lifelong supporter of the U’s whose dedication played a crucial role in safeguarding the Club during some of its most challenging periods. Terry served on the Board of Directors, was Chairman on three occasions and was appointed an Honorary Director in 2016. He sadly passed away in 2018.
Academy Manager Dom Knighton said, “We are really pleased to confirm the details of this year’s Terry Baker Memorial Fixture and Scholars Awards Evening at the Cledara Abbey Stadium.
“It will be special to welcome Val and the Baker family back to the club as we celebrate another positive season for our academy and remember Terry, who was such a passionate supporter of youth development.
“We’d love to see as many supporters as possible join us on the night to watch some of the exciting young talent coming through our pathway.
“For several of the players, this will be their first experience of playing in the stadium, and a strong crowd would make it even more memorable.”
