Cambridge United are delighted to launch a brand new digital match day programme, offering U’s fans exclusive and interactive content for FREE!
Working in partnership with Hashtag Digital Media, Cambridge United are among the first clubs in the EFL to produce an interactive online programme offering, during the period in which fans are not able to access stadiums.
Excitingly, the online offering does provide the Club with additional interactive capabilities, including the opportunity to feature video interviews, match highlights, click-throughs to quizzes and past editions of Cambridge United’s match day programme and much more!
The first online edition will be available for this Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two opener against Carlisle United. So whilst we are not able to host the Amber Army at the Abbey, alongside Matchday Live and the iFollow live match stream (Click Here to Buy a Match Pass), the online programme means the Football Club will be bringing as much of the match day to supporters as possible.
The Club will initially be trialling the platform whilst fans are away, but the Club also recognises that an online programme may be a safer option than a physical copy whenever fans return to the Abbey.
Cambridge United Head of Communications Tom Stewart commented: “More than anything we would love to be welcoming fans back to the Abbey and for them to be going through their usual match day routines, such as picking up a copy of the match day programme. However, given the current challenges, to be able to provide an alternative arrangement and bring a little piece of match day to supporters through this new platform, is an exciting prospect.
“We also felt very strongly about making this content available for free to fans. This in turn will also lead to a greater reach, which therefore offers sponsors and advertisers within increased value and exposure.
“It is important we also thank the Club’s previous match programme providers, Queensway Publishing and in particular Lee Harding and Lee Wood, whose excellent level of work with the Football Club over many years should not go unrecognised. We wish them well moving forwards.
“We look forward to working closely with Hashtag Digital Media and hope supporters relish the new capabilities and exclusive content within each edition of our online offering.”
