Cambridge United are seeking to appoint a Casual Retail Assistant to play a central role in delivering outstanding customer service to supporters and visitors at the Cledara Abbey Stadium…

Working as a key member of the Ticketing & Retail Department and reporting to the Retail & Ticket Office Manager, the post-holder will be responsible for delivering excellent customer engagement, supporting product sales, and assisting with retail operations on home matchdays.

This varied role requires a positive, confident and customer-focused individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

The role is based at the Cledara Abbey Stadium and involves working three hours on home matchdays as and when agreed.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to supporters and visitors.
  • Showcasing confidence and knowledge of the Club’s product ranges.
  • Delivering sales and meeting agreed targets.
  • Collaborating with the retail team in a fast-paced matchday environment.
  • Assisting with general retail duties and responding to customer enquiries.
  • Processing payments via EPOS tills and card readers.
  • Conducting till balancing and basic cash handling.
