Cambridge United are delighted to announce Romsey Mill as the club’s official Charity Partner for the 2025/26 season…
Following a hugely successful partnership with East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices last year, we invited supporters and the local community to nominate a charity close to their hearts for the club to partner with for the upcoming season. So many worthy causes were nominated, but after careful consideration, Romsey Mill has been selected as this season’s partner.
The partnership was officially launched at Meadows Community Centre, where United first-team players Jake Eastwood, James Gibbons and Ben Purrington joined young people supported by Romsey Mill for an afternoon of football activities and conversation.
Romsey Mill is a Cambridge-based charity working with children, young people and families facing disadvantage. Through youth clubs, education programmes, one-to-one support and creative opportunities, Romsey Mill helps people to overcome challenges, grow in confidence, and achieve their potential.
As Cambridge United’s Charity Partner, Romsey Mill will benefit from:
- A dedicated themed matchday at the Cledara Abbey Stadium, including a bucket collection, charity stall, programme feature, and ticket allocation.
- Player appearances during the season to support the charity’s work.
- Opportunities to raise funds and awareness through the club’s channels.
- Support from the club’s fundraising activities across the year.
Speaking about the partnership, Cambridge United CEO Alex Tunbridge said, “We are thrilled to be working with Romsey Mill this upcoming season as our official Charity Partner. They are an organisation that makes a real difference to young people and families in our community, and we look forward to championing their vital work throughout the year.”
Neil Perry, CEO with Romsey Mill added “We are so grateful to Cambridge United and its supporters for this opportunity. Together, we can shine a light on the challenges faced by young people across our city and celebrate the positive impact that community and sport can have in their lives.”
The Club looks forward to a season of collaboration with Romsey Mill, building on its proud tradition of supporting local causes that matter most to the Cambridge community.
