Mark Brian, the new Director of Sport at the University of Cambridge, has joined the Board of Cambridge United Women…

Mark started in his role in the Spring and since then has developed a close relationship with a number of people at Cambridge United. He worked very closely with the women’s team at Durham University in his last role, and this appointment is further evidence of the desire by both club and University to deepen their links.

Gisela Otten, Chair of the Women’s Board, said, “We are very pleased that Mark has agreed to join the Board as he brings a wealth of experience from his time at Durham University where he helped build the relationship between Durham Women FC (WSL2) and the University.

"He brings valuable knowledge of the women’s game and is a great fit for the vision we have at Cambridge United. I’m really looking forward to working with him to drive the club forward and explore new opportunities to collaborate with the University of Cambridge.”

Mark Brian added, “It is a real honour to have been asked to join the Cambridge United Women’s Board at an exciting time for the development of the club.

“I hope that I can bring some experience to the club from my previous involvement with Durham Women’s FC and we can work together to keep moving the club forward and find ways in which to strengthen the ties between Cambridge United and the University of Cambridge.”
