Cambridge United are pleased to confirm the appointment of Marc Forrest as the club’s new Under 18s Lead Coach…
Forrest originally joined United in April 2026 as Emerging Talent Coach (U14s-U21s), and now steps up into the U18s role following Liam O’Neil’s recent progression to First Team Coach.
"I am delighted," Forrest said. "It’s an ambitious club that is going from strength to strength. Having three months working alongside Liam before his promotion gave us a fantastic opportunity for an informal handover.
"It’s a really exciting time. I’ve been able to come in during pre-season, and the boys are already fully embracing the opportunities and challenges ahead."
Academy Manager Dom Knighton added, "Marc has made an outstanding impact since joining the Academy, quickly demonstrating the leadership, coaching quality, and high standards we look for at Cambridge United.
"Throughout his time as Emerging Talent Coach, he has built strong relationships across the department, shown a genuine commitment to individual player development, and consistently embodied our core values.
"This appointment provides important continuity for our Professional Development Phase. Marc understands our philosophy, has earned the respect of the players and staff, and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop our young talent both on and off the pitch."
