Cambridge United return to the Cledara Abbey Stadium on Friday 19 December, with a 7:45pm kick-off against Accrington Stanley, for what promises to be a special evening of football and festive fun…
As our final home fixture of the year and the last match before Christmas, supporters are encouraged to arrive early and soak up the atmosphere, with our Christmas Corner located at the front of the ground on Newmarket Road.
The festive area will feature seasonal food and drink, a Christmas singalong led by Simon Cragg, and a selection of activities to keep younger supporters entertained.
On the pitch, there’s nothing quite like Friday night football under the floodlights, and Neil Harris' side will be looking to extend their ten-game unbeaten run and finish out the year at home on a high.
Adding to the evening’s celebrations, members of the 2013/14 double-winning squad will be inducted into the 100 Years of Coconuts Hall of Fame at half-time. We are delighted to welcome back Kwesi Appiah, Ryan Bird, Tom Bonner, Tom Champion, Josh Coulson, Adam Cunnington, Harrison Dunk, Tom Elliott, Liam Hughes, Rory McAuley, Ian Miller, Adam Smith and Greg Taylor.
The players will be welcomed onto the pitch at half-time and will also be meeting supporters in the Christmas Corner prior to kick-off.
Wrap up warm, bring your festive spirit, and help us make it a night to remember under the lights at the Cledara Abbey.
