Cambridge United Foundation Matchday Takeover This Saturday

Foundation Matchday Graphic

Cambridge United Foundation will be taking over Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Salford City at the Cledara Abbey Stadium (12:30pm kick-off), with a range of activities planned throughout the day to showcase the Foundation’s work in the community and give supporters the chance to get involved…

Fans attending the match will be able to take part in interactive challenges, special matchday experiences, and fundraising activities, all designed to highlight the positive impact the Foundation has across the local community.

Inflatable Goal Challenge

Supporters heading to the Junior Kids’ Zone will be able to take on a fun football challenge while helping raise money for the Foundation.

An Inflatable Goal Challenge will invite fans to test their finishing ability by attempting to beat the combined score set by a Cambridge United men’s and women’s first-team striker. Each participant will have three shots to try and top the leaderboard.

  • Entry: £1 per attempt
  • Prize: A Cambridge United signed shirt for the highest score

Fans can also take part in a Lucky Dip and Match Prediction game, offering further chances to win prizes while supporting the Foundation’s work.

Active Science

AstraZeneca will be hosting their ‘Active Science’ activity in the Kids' Zone ahead of kick-off, offering an engaging and interactive experience for younger supporters to take part in.

Online Auction

Running all week, supporters will also have the chance to bid in a special online auction, featuring a range of unique Cambridge United experiences and prizes relating to the game:

  • Two places in the BrewBoard Zorb Half-Time Battle
  • Two Mascot packages
  • Two Hospitality seats in the Regents Lounge
  • A signed Man of the Match shirt, presented in hospitality after the game

Bring a Pound to the Ground

There will be plenty of opportunities for fans to support Cambridge United Foundation throughout the day, with bucket collections taking place around the stadium.

Supporters are encouraged to “Bring a Pound to the Ground”, with all donations going towards helping the Foundation continue delivering its vital programmes across the community. If you'd prefer to do it online, you can donate towards the Foundation's work by clicking here.

Through initiatives supporting health, education, inclusion and participation in sport, Cambridge United Foundation works with thousands of people across Cambridgeshire every year – and Saturday’s matchday takeover is a chance for supporters to see that work in action while helping make a difference.
