Bid for match-worn fourth shirts

Fourth Shirts up in the changing room

Cambridge United supporters now have the opportunity to own a unique piece of U's memorabilia, with match-worn Fourth Shirts now available to bid on...

Worn by the first-team squad during last weekend's 1-0 victory over Blackpool, the limited-edition shirts were created to celebrate the life and legacy of Cambridge-born Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett, while also raising funds around World Mental Health Day.

All profits from the auction will be donated to two important causes: a mental health charity chosen by the Barrett family and Cambridge United Foundation's mental health programmes, which include:

  • Mind Your Head - A six-week intervention programme for secondary school pupils, helping young people understand, manage and talk openly about their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Fishing Buddies - A social angling initiative, delivered in partnership with Cambridge Charity Fundraisers, that uses fishing to reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing and create lasting friendships.
  • Dementia CafĂ© - A welcoming and supportive environment where people living with dementia and their carers can connect, take part in stimulating activities and build meaningful relationships.
  • Secondary School Mentoring - One-to-one and small-group mentoring sessions that support young people's confidence, wellbeing, personal development and engagement in education.

Supporters can visit shop.cambridgeunited.com now to view the available shirts and place bids on their favourite player's match-worn edition. Winners who would like their shirt signed can contact shop@cambridgeunited.com once their purchase has been confirmed.

Bidding is only open until 7pm on Thursday 22 October, so don't miss the chance to secure a piece of Cambridge United history while supporting two worthwhile causes.
