Cambridge United are pleased to announce the signing of Adam Mayor on loan from Millwall until the end of the 2025/26 season…
The 21-year-old winger joins the U’s on deadline day to bolster the U’s attacking options.
Mayor began his professional career at Morecambe, where he broke into the first team as a teenager and quickly earned a reputation as one of the most promising young attackers in the EFL. After impressing in League Two, he secured a move to Championship side Millwall in January 2024
Now, after gaining further valuable experience whilst out on loan at Bromley last season, he joins Cambridge United on loan for the 2025/26 season.
“I’m really excited to be here,” Mayor said. “This is a great opportunity for me to get minutes, show what I can do and help the team.
“I spoke to the manager, and he made it clear how much he wanted me here, which means a lot. I can’t wait to get started and play in front of the fans.”
Neil Harris added, “I am delighted to welcome Adam to the football club. He is a player I know very well from working with him at Millwall last season in the Championship.
“His ball-carrying ability and direct style of play will add a quality that complements the attributes we already have in the team.
“We will help him develop as a player, while he will help us succeed as a team.”
Mayor will wear the number 15 shirt during his time with United. Cambridge United transfer news is supported by Genie AI.
