The Cambridge United first team players have come together to make a significant donation to the important work of the Cambridge United Community Trust. The Trust has continued to provide practical and emotional support to the community through the ‘Here for Us’ campaign and this donation will help this to continue as we all deal with the impacts of Covid 19.
Graham Daniels, Chair of the Trust and Director, said:
‘We are very grateful for this gesture by the first team players. The work of the Trust is integral to who we are as a community football club and this is an important recognition of that. We want to continue to be United for Cambridge and to play our part in helping the city and community through these difficult times - with the ‘Here for Us’ campaign and the other work of the Trust. A number of players have been very actively involved over recent months which has been fantastic to see and deepening this involvement in our community work will become even more important for everyone at the Club over the coming period.’
The donation has been matched by the Cambridge United Board of Directors.
