Cambridge United are pleased to announce the Football Club have renewed its partnership with Catapult Sports, a world leading provider of sports performance technology.
The partnership will see the U’s first team using Catapult’s seventh generation wearable technology, Vector, which provides the Club with detailed analytics to track and improve team performance across training and competitive matches.
Catapult is the leader in sports performance technology globally, working with over 3,000 teams in 39 sports in 137 countries worldwide, with their products designed to optimise performance, mitigate the risk of injury, and quantify return to play.
Cambridge United Head of Performance, Matt Walker, commented: “The use of GPS monitoring systems is widespread in the world of sport and something players and staff are now well versed in wearing, using and analysing their physical data. The newly delivered X7 series gives the players incredible accuracy of their physical performances on the training field and in games. We will also be keeping our existing X4 units to increase the level of physical analysis within our U18 training and games programme.”
