The Abbey Stadium action is not quite complete for the week just yet, as Cambridge United’s Under 15/16s play host to Norwich City for the first stadium game of the season at 6:30pm!
Once again the Club is encouraging the Amber Army to get behind the oldest Academy schoolboy age group, as they take on Premier League opposition, tonight in the form of East Anglian rivals Norwich City.
Over the past four seasons, the U’s Academy have played host to some of the country’s biggest footballing names at the Abbey Stadium, with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United all taking on United’s oldest schoolboy age group.
The fixtures have always been well-attended by Cambridge United supporters, who have the chance not only to see United’s stars of the future in action on the first team surface, but watch some of the most talented young players in the country.
This season the games have been renamed in honour of Former Chairman and Director, the late Terry Baker, for his contribution to the Academy during his tenure at the Abbey.
Tickets for the game are just £5 for adults and £1 for U18s, and area available online at cufcdirect.com. Alternatively head to the ticket office right up to kick off at 6:30pm, to grab your tickets.
The more supporters in attendance, the better and more valuable the experience is for Cambridge United’s academy players. So please head down and support the young U’s!
