The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a comprehensive programme ensuring that off-field support is structured and coordinated across all phases. By embedding life skills, managing host family arrangements, and delivering pastoral care, this pivotal role will help create the best possible experience and environment for our players to thrive both on and off the pitch.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate pastoral support to promote the welfare and holistic development of Academy players.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with players, parents, teachers, and academy staff to ensure appropriate support is provided.
- Record and manage player interactions, incidents, and interventions, ensuring effective information sharing across departments.
- Work with the safeguarding team to ensure best practice.
- Responsible for implementation, delivery, and evaluation of the player care and personal development programme across each phase.
- To support player transition into club accommodation with host families.
- To lead and coordinate host families.
- To develop and implement the Academy Alumni Programme.
- Support scholars whilst out on loan.
- Delivery of life skills programme across all phases.
- Work collaboratively with the phase multi-disciplinary team to ensure that seasonal inductions for players and parents are delivered and are holistic with information that is provided.
- Attend trips and tours where agreed.
- Work alongside the multi-disciplinary team with the support strategy for released players in relevant age phases.
