U's Women Matchday: Fulham (H)

Fulham (H) - CUFCW

Cambridge United Women will be hoping to finish 2025 with a win as we host Fulham this afternoon (14:00KO)...

The U's had a rare week off last weekend as this afternoon's match was rescheduled for today due to Fulham getting to the third round of the Women's FA Cup.

It was an encouraging performance against Actonians for the U's, despite going two up early on, Sean Greygoose's side couldn't hang on as our hosts fought back to secure a point.

The Opposition

A near faultless start to the league season for our opponents since we faced them on the first weekend of the season, after 10 games Fulham have recorded 9 wins and 1 draw, a record the U's will be hoping to change this afternoon.

It was a tightly contested affair in our last meeting, Fulham took the lead early before the U's fought back and equalised through Kim Farrow. However, in the 10th minute of added time at the end of the game, Fulham secured all three points.

Managers Thoughts

Following the 2-2 draw with Actonians, manager Sean Greygoose gave his thoughts on the result and the test that Fulham will face this afternoon.

How to get there

If you’re heading to St Neots Town FC from Cambridge, it’s an easy trip of around 22 miles. By car, take the A428 west from Cambridge towards St Neots, follow signs for the town, then turn onto Barford Road and left into Kester Way where you’ll find The Premier Plus Stadium on your right – there’s free parking at the ground, though it fills quickly on busy matchdays. If you’re travelling by train, take a service from Cambridge to St Neots (usually via Hitchin or Stevenage) and either walk the mile and a half to the ground or grab an Uber for the short five-minute ride.
