As we approach the final day of the season, Cambridge United would like to issue an important reminder to all supporters ahead of this Saturday’s EFL League One fixture against Birmingham City at the Cledara Abbey Stadium...
In the interest of safety for everyone inside the stadium, please remember that the pitch is strictly for players, managers, and match officials. The stands are where your support belongs - and we encourage you to make your voices heard from there.
Unfortunately, recent seasons have seen a small minority of fans across the country enter the field of play, whether in celebration or otherwise.
These pitch incursions are not only dangerous but also illegal. Any individual who enters the playing surface will face significant consequences, including, stadium bans (at the Cledara Abbey Stadium and potentially nationwide), police action and criminal charges, which may result in a record that can affect employment, education, and international travel.
These actions do not only impact individuals - they can also have consequences for family members and for Cambridge United Football Club as a whole. Our message is simple: Keep the pitch for the players, and stay in the stands to show your support.
Please also be reminded that segregation will be in place for Saturday’s fixture, inline with EFL Regulations.
Birmingham City supporters will be in the South Habbin, with the away allocation now sold out.
Away fans without valid tickets are strongly advised not to travel. Please note that home stand tickets are only available to existing account holders with a purchase history from the last two seasons. Matchday ticket sales will require valid ID.
Any away supporters found in home sections will be ejected and may face further sanctions.
Let’s come together to support the team in a safe, respectful, and positive atmosphere as we close out the season.
