There is still time to join our Scholarship Programme at Cambridge Regional College for the 2026/27 Academic Year…
Delivered in partnership with Cambridge United, the Cambridge Regional College Scholarship Programme combines a two-year Extended Diploma in Sport Studies with a full-time football development programme, offering students the opportunity to train regularly with Cambridge United coaches while continuing their education.
Prospective students aged 16-19 who are considering making the switch to the programme this year are invited to attend a free taster session on Monday 19 October 2026 at Queens' College Sports Ground.
The taster session will provide a chance to experience coaching from Cambridge United staff, see the facilities, and learn more about the academic and football opportunities available through the programme.
Students on the course train up to three times a week and compete in the National Youth Football League against academy sides from across the country, while studying a qualification equivalent to three A Levels.
The programme also offers opportunities to gain additional coaching and sports industry experience, with many students progressing into higher education, employment within sport, or scholarship opportunities in the United States.
Training takes place at high-quality facilities in Cambridge, with transport provided from the CRC campus to training venues.
