Following a hugely successful pilot in October 2025, Cambridge United Foundation secured funding from NHS Central East Integrated Care Board to deliver further PSA blood tests in partnership with MYPSA...
We've seen an incredible uptake as we welcomed over 110 participants to the Cledara Abbey Stadium on Wednesday afternoon for free PSA tests, with all slots being fully booked in advance of the date.
Graham Saint, Men’s Health Officer at Cambridge United Foundation, said, “We had another fantastic turn out for this event, with 114 local men receiving a PSA blood test at the Stadium. We have clearly tapped into a demand for more information about prostate health and local testing, most of the men attending recognised that any adverse result was only a starting point for a conversation with their GP but valued the opportunity to get involved."
Many things can affect your PSA, but a high level means you should consult your GP for further investigation.
The PSA test can help diagnose possible prostate problems, including prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Importantly, the earlier it is found, the easier it is to treat.
It is hoped that the Foundation’s PSA testing programme will encourage open conversations around the topic of men’s health and empower more men to seek professional medical advice their GP.
