Cambridge United supporters are being encouraged to take advantage of extended bus services for this Tuesday’s fixture - and every midweek home game this season - as the Club works with Stagecoach to make travelling to midweek games easier and more convenient…
The U’s host Chesterfield at the Cledara Abbey Stadium on Tuesday 9 December (7:45pm), marking the first match to benefit from the later-running Park & Ride service to and from Newmarket Road. The enhanced timetable means fans can stay for the full-time without worrying about the journey home.
Supporters can park for free at Newmarket Road Park & Ride and hop on a direct service straight to the Stadium, with Matchday Return tickets priced at just £3.30.
Return buses from the Cledara Abbey Stadium to the Park & Ride will depart at 21:00, 21:30 and 22:00.
Darren Roe, Managing Director at Stagecoach East, said, “Many of our team are U’s supporters themselves, so we know first-hand the challenges of parking close to the Abbey. We’re pleased to introduce a simple and affordable way to make travelling to games easier for everyone.”
Alex Tunbridge, Chief Executive Officer at Cambridge United, added, “We are very pleased to introduce this updated arrangement with Stagecoach, which will significantly improve access to and from our midweek fixtures.
“We encourage supporters to make full use of the service for the upcoming games. It’s a reliable, efficient option that also helps reduce congestion around the Cledara Abbey.”
