CUFC Lottery help fund further stadium improvements

United Fried Chicken unit

Following another busy summer at the Cledara Abbey Stadium, fans returning for Saturday’s Carabao Cup tie against Barnet will see a host of new and improved facilities across the ground…

Supporters will notice a brand-new Food Unit and Toilet Block situated between the Newmarket Road End and Novus Main Stand, which was partially funded thanks to a £25,000 donation from CUFC Lottery.

Elsewhere around the stadium, a new retail unit has been installed in the North Habbin, while food options have been enhanced with the launch of 'United Fried Chicken' in the Novus Main Stand. A further food unit in the Mead Family Stand will also be operational from September, and all accessible toilets across the ground have now been upgraded to be stoma-friendly.

Speaking about the stadium developments, CEO Alex Tunbridge said, "Year on year we are committed to enhancing the matchday experience and infrastructure at the Cledara Abbey Stadium. With our attendances continuing to grow, these upgrades are crucial in helping us manage queues more effectively and keep matchdays running smoothly for everyone.

"I would like to extend my thanks to the CUFC Lottery for their continued backing. Contributions like their £25,000 donation towards the new food and toilet block make a real difference to what we can achieve for both our supporters and our staff."
