Cambridge United are pleased to announce the appointment of Charlotte Crisp as full-time Women’s General Manager…

Charlotte has been part of Cambridge United since 2017, contributing extensively across the Youth Development department and Girls’ Programme.

During this time, she has played a key role in the growth of the female pathway, expanding it from a three-step structure involving just over 100 players to a now eight-step pathway engaging more than 500 female players. Across the wider Youth Development programme, over 4,000 young people are currently involved in Club activity.

A former player, Charlotte was part of Cambridge United’s Women’s Centre of Excellence as a teenager before going on to represent the Women’s first team for five years between 2017 and 2021.

In recent years, alongside her role as Head of Youth Development, she has served as Female Pathway Lead, overseeing the formation of the U18s JPL team. For the past year, she has also undertaken a part-time General Manager role within the women’s set-up.

Charlotte now moves into a full-time position as Women’s General Manager, with the management of the women’s team becoming fully integrated under Club staff for the first time, further strengthening the Club’s long-term commitment to its women’s programme.

Charlotte Crisp said, “I am really excited to help lead the Women’s team into this next chapter. There’s a real sense of momentum around the programme at the moment, with the Club continuing to invest in the women’s game and creating an environment that is becoming increasingly performance-focused.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to build on the strong foundations that are already in place and work closely with everyone involved to keep developing both the team and the wider programme

“I am also looking forward to helping make Grange Road a real home for the Women’s team and continuing to grow something the whole Club can be proud of together.”

An announcement of the Women’s new Head Coach and backroom team will be announced in due course.
