Cambridge United are pleased to announce the extension of its partnership with Mead Plant & Grab, with the company continuing as sponsor of the Mead Plant & Grab Family Stand for the next three seasons...
The partnership, which first began in 2018, has grown into one of the club’s longest-standing commercial relationships, with Mead Plant & Grab continuing to provide valued support both on and off the pitch.
Originally established as the South Stand sponsor, the partnership has evolved alongside the club, with the stand becoming the Mead Plant & Grab Family Stand in 2024. The move marked an exciting new chapter for the area, creating a dedicated home for families and younger supporters while helping enhance the matchday experience at the Cledara Abbey Stadium.
The Mead Plant & Grab Family Stand continues to play an important role in welcoming the next generation of Cambridge United supporters, with improved facilities, family-focused activities and a more accessible matchday experience for supporters of all ages.
As a family-run local business, Mead Plant & Grab shares Cambridge United’s commitment to supporting the local community. Their continued partnership reflects a strong connection between two organisations with deep roots in the region.
Neil Rowe, Head of Commercial at Cambridge United, said, "We are delighted to continue our partnership with Mead Plant & Grab. They have been fantastic supporters of the Club for many years and are a brilliant example of a local business that genuinely understands the value of being part of the Cambridge United community.
"It has been great to see this partnership evolve, from the original South Stand sponsorship to becoming the Mead Plant & Grab Family Stand. The stand has become an important part of the matchday experience, particularly for young supporters and families attending games together.
"Richard and the team have always shown a huge amount of passion for the Club, and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued support. We look forward to building on our relationship for another successful season."
Richard Mead, Director at Mead Plant & Grab, said, "We are extremely proud to continue our partnership with Cambridge United. As a family business and long-time supporters of the club, being involved with the U’s means a great deal to us.
"Seeing the South Stand develop into the Mead Plant & Grab Family Stand has been fantastic. Helping create an area where families and younger supporters can enjoy coming to games is something we’re really proud to be associated with.
"We look forward to another season supporting the club and being part of the Cambridge United family. Win or lose, Up the U’s!"
