Cambridge United are delighted to confirm the renewal of its partnership with Greater Anglia, extending the successful collaboration between the two organisations through to the end of the 2025–26 campaign...
Greater Anglia first joined forces with the Club in August 2024 as the official stand sponsor of the Habbin Stand at the Cledara Abbey Stadium. The renewed agreement builds on a strong first year, reinforcing a shared commitment to serving supporters, improving matchday travel, and encouraging sustainable journeys to and from games.
The partnership continues to promote rail travel as the smart, convenient and environmentally friendly way for fans to reach the Cledara Abbey Stadium — with Cambridge North station already a popular route for match-goers and the forthcoming Cambridge South station, set to open in June 2026, promising to further enhance connectivity across the city and region.
Both Cambridge United and Greater Anglia will also continue to work together on community and engagement initiatives aimed at encouraging sustainable travel habits and supporting local projects.
Neil Rowe, Head of Commercial at Cambridge United, said, “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Greater Anglia. From day one they have demonstrated a genuine interest in the club, its supporters and the wider Cambridge community. As we look ahead we are excited about the additional value this renewal will deliver — for fans, our staff and for local residents alike.”
Mike Barry, Greater Anglia’s Head of Stations North West, added, “We are really proud to continue our partnership with Cambridge United FC and our sponsorship of the iconic Habbin Stand. We are always looking to play a positive role in the communities we serve and to build partnerships that deliver real benefits for customers.
“With Cambridge North station just a short walk from the Cledara Abbey Stadium, rail is an excellent option for travel to and from the U’s home games.”
