Academy Day takes place on Saturday

Mamadou Jobe

This Saturday’s fixture against Barnet marks Cambridge United’s annual Academy Day - a celebration of the people and programmes shaping the club’s future…

We’re pleased to welcome our U9–U14 academy schoolboys and their families, along with academy staff, host families, and partner clubs, to the Cledara Abbey Stadium. The day is all about recognising our academy community and the incredible work being done to nurture the next generation of Cambridge United talent.

Our young players will have the chance to draw inspiration by watching the likes of Liam Bennett, Mamadou Jobe, George Hoddle, and Glenn McConnell - all graduates of the Cambridge United Academy who have progressed into the first team.

At half-time, our academy schoolboys will take to the pitch for a lap of honour, followed by a 5v5 showcase match from our U8s pre-academy group.

We’ll also take this opportunity to honour long-standing coach Dario Seminerio, who is celebrating 10 years of outstanding service to the academy.

Please join us in giving everyone a warm welcome and helping make it a day to remember.
