This Saturday's Sky Bet League One fixture against Plymouth Argyle sees Cambridge United welcome players, coaches and families from across the academy to the Cledara Abbey Stadium for our annual Academy Day...
Academy Day helps shine a spotlight on the club's player development pathway and the work taking place across all age groups, from the Foundation Phase through to the young professionals developing within the first-team environment.
Our young players will be able to see first-hand the opportunities available to them, with graduates Liam Bennett, George Hoddle and Glenn McConnell all currently involved within the first team set-up.
At half-time, Cambridge United Under 8s will take to the pitch for a small-sided game, while academy players in attendance will complete a lap of appreciation around the stadium.
Supporters can also read more about the work taking place across the pathway in an expanded Academy section in Saturday's Matchday Programme. George Hoddle features on both the front cover and centre poster, highlighting one of the young players currently progressing through the ranks at the club.
We hope all Academy players and their families enjoy the afternoon and thank them for their continued commitment to Cambridge United.
