Walking Footballers to deliver Half-Time demonstration ahead of Marathon Fundraiser

As part of this Saturday's Level Playing Field Matchday, Cambridge United Walking Footballers will deliver a Half-Time demonstration on the pitch ahead of their upcoming Walking Football Marathon fundraiser...

The fundraiser - taking place at the Abbey Leisure Centre on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2022 - is a Walking Football Marathon, consisting of a 12 hour match played by two teams made up of players from the Trust’s seniors and disability football sessions.

To raise awareness for the Marathon fundraiser, a match will be played in-front of the half-time crowd at this weekend's Cambridge United vs MK Dons game.

Level Playing Field t-shirts will be proudly worn by the players to show support for the disability sports charity and all money raised will go towards supporting football sessions for individuals with disabilities.

Pick up a copy of this Saturday's edition of 'United' to read about the players who will be playing on the pitch and taking part in the fundraiser.
