The 21-year-old has impressed whilst with the Saddlers this season, making 25 appearances for the Sky Bet League Two club.
With this in mind, and following a number of defensive injuries picked up recently for the U's, Mark Bonner has exercised the option to recall Bennett from his loan.
Bennett will be eligible for selection ahead of United's January 2nd fixture against Sheffield Wednesday.
