The Cambridge United trio have been recognised at tonight's EFL Awards for their superb contributions to a brilliant season for the U's.

Wes Hoolahan, who was wowed Cambridge supporters with his dazzling displays in midfield, on his way to notching eight goals and five assists was also nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year award. "I am buzzing to be named in the team of the season," he said. "It has been a brilliant year for myself and it's a great honour to be recognised in this way. Thank you to everyone at the Club for their support and to the panel for selecting me."

It has been a breakthrough year for 24-year-old Kyle Knoyle, who has made 50 appearances from right-back and has contributed with six assists and two goals. He said, “I am honoured to be included in the Team of the Season. It is great to be personally recognised but I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without the hard work and support of everyone at the club. Now it's about getting the job done and truly making it a season to remember for everyone."

Finally, it will have come as no surprise to see this year's Sky Bet League Two Player of the Season named in the Team of the Season, as his 29 league goals has helped make Cambrige United the most prolific attacking team in the division. Paul said, "I am absolutely delighted to be named in the Team of the Season. It has definitely been my best year as a professional and I just want to finish it off in the right way now."

The Club would like to place on record its congratulations to all three players for their significant achievements this season.
