Cambridge United will welcome Sky Bet Championship outfit Ipswich Town to the Abbey Stadium on Tuesday 21st July, kick off 7.45pm.
Last Thursday Cambridge-United.co.uk announced that the U’s will face League One Coventry City on 28th July, and Richard Money’s side will now have the chance to test themselves against top opposition once more, when East Anglian rivals Ipswich Town make the short trip across the county border.
Having narrowly missed out in the Championship play-offs two weeks ago, Mick McCarthy is set to bring a full first team to the Abbey Stadium as they look to better their sixth place finish in the second tier last season.

Meanwhile the club is reminding the Amber Army that those who purchase a 2015/16 season ticket before the clash with Coventry City, will be entitled to attend the fixture against the Sky Blues totally free of charge.
