U'S PLAYERS VISIT LOCAL SCHOOLS

U's players give out over 600 free tickets to school children in Cambridge

RYAN Donaldson, Richard Tait, John Hunt and Will Norris visited local Primary Schools this morning, giving every child in the school a free ticket to Saturdays Absolute Sports Travel Cup.

The U’s players answered questions and shared advice with some of the youngsters, who were delighted to see the U’s in their classrooms!

Cambridge United’s School Sport Coordinator, Luke Harradine, said: “Fen Ditton and Abbey Meadows are wonderful schools, right on the doorstep of our Football Club.  We have been working closely with a number of schools in the local area, as well as schools across Cambridgeshire.  It’s great that we have been able to give out over 600 free tickets to the children in Abbey Meadows Primary School and Fen Ditton Primary School, for what promises to be a great tournament at the R Costings Abbey Stadium.”

U’s defender, Richard Tait, enjoyed his visit: “It’s always great to go and see the children, whether it’s in school time or on a holiday course.  It’s great that we can have a chat with them and answer any questions they have about Cambridge United or being  a footballer.  To be able to give them all tickets to come along on Saturday is wonderful, we hope they have a great time!”
