The 27-year-old full-back has joined up with the Heed squad ahead of their final league match on Saturday, before they prepare for the FA Trophy Final and National League Play-Offs.
Haunstrup signed ahead of last month's National League registration deadline, but his arrival in the North East has been delayed due to injury.
