Team News: Oxford Utd vs Cambridge Utd

6 August 2022

Mark Bonner has rung the changes in preparation for his side’s first battle on the road this season at Oxford United...

Just two players survive from the XI that manufactured Carabao Cup heroics in midweek. George Williams, the only man in the squad to start all three games, and Shilow Tracey, a thorn in Millwall’s defence, remain to make up the right side of the pitch.

Dimitar Mitov retains his place between the sticks, whereas Harrison Dunk, Lloyd Jones and Jubril Okedina make up the tried, trusted and settled defence.

Adam May and Paul Digby will orchestrate the middle of the park, the latter captaining the side and now one short of reaching a century of appearances for the U’s, whilst the aforementioned Tracey and James Brophy will supply ammunition from the flanks.

Waiting in the wings are the likes of Joe Ironside, Liam O’Neil and Saikou Janneh who help make up the seven-man bench.

Starting XI: Mitov, Williams, Okedina, Jones, Dunk, Digby, May, Tracey, Knibbs, Brophy, Smith

Subs: Mannion, Haunstrup, Taylor, O’Neil, Ironside, Lankester, Janneh

Kick off 12:30 (UK)
