Cambridge United Community Trust (CUCT) is delighted to launch ‘At The Heart of Our Community’: a strategic plan for working in the community over the next few years.

We are passionate about being at the heart of a stronger, healthier and more equal community and this document represents our ‘Gameplan’ for doing precisely that.
Over the past year and a half, the Community Trust has supported our community through the coronavirus pandemic by putting in place a programme of emotional, physical & practical support called Here For U’s. This new strategy was produced after extensive consultation with funders, partners, stakeholders and CUCT staff. It details how we will tackle the social, health and educational challenges and create tangible, measurable change in each of our four focus areas: Community Engagement, Wellbeing, Inclusion and Education & Skills.
We want to continue to make a difference to local communities through the power of sport and the brand of Cambridge United Football Club for the life span of this three-year strategy. The document, which was designed by Level Up Print, also highlights the values which bind together all those at Cambridge United and the Community Trust.
Sam Gomarsall, Community Trust Manager, said: "There is a real buzz amongst the team for getting started on this new gameplan and delivering real change in our community. As Cambridge and the surrounding areas navigate a route out of the pandemic, we have a real opportunity to build a healthier and more equal place with strong community cohesion at the core. We are committed to playing our part in making this happen. The past 18 months or so have not been an easy journey, however I have never been prouder of the caring & collaborative team of staff we have at the Trust. Over the next few years, I am excited to see how they can continue to transform lives across our local community.
