The Week Ahead: Wigan & Sunderland visit the Abbey

22 November 2021

After playing seven out of nine games on the road, the U's return home with a bang this week as Wigan Athletic and Sunderland make long awaited trips to the Abbey...

First up it's the visit of the Latics who travel to Cambridge for the first time since 2001 on Tuesday for a 7:45pm kick-off in Sky Bet League One. Tickets and iFollow Match Passes are both available so supporters near and far can get behind the U's.

Then, United host Sunderland on Saturday for the first time since 2002, with limited tickets still available. Secure your place at the big game by visiting cufctickets.com, calling 01223 566500 (option 1) or by visiting the Abbey Stadium Ticket Office.

Following a smashing 11-0 County Cup win over Cardea Ladies on Sunday, Cambridge United Women return to league action at the weekend with a home match against London Seaward. U's Season Ticket Holders can attend for free and kick-off is at 2pm on Sunday 28th November at St Neots Town Football Club.

The U18s are also back at home to take on Northampton Town this Saturday, following a 3-2 defeat to Leyton Orient which saw Akanbi & Njoku find the net for the U's, before a stoppage time winner for the hosts.

Stay tuned for fixture and ticketing details on the upcoming FA Youth Cup Third Round fixture against Oxford United U18s, which is set to take place at the Abbey Stadium in December.

Black Friday at CUFCDirect.com begins this Thursday at 3pm, with 10% off all items including pre-orders. Half-Season Tickets are also now on sale, which includes access to the final 11 home games of the Sky Bet League One season, starting with the 30th December match against Doncaster Rovers.

Ste Greenall - Sources Close to the Abbey, will be held at the Gregory Suite at @StNeotsTownFC this Friday, with doors opening at 7.30pm. Head along for a night of stories and entertainment with the former U's secretary and current Black Cat Radio host.
