Virtual Active Science Week

Normally at this time of year, Cambridge United Community Trust would be busy organising their annual Active Science Day at the Abbey Stadium. The event is a celebration of the year’s work in local primary schools on the innovative Active Science programme, developed and run in partnership with AstraZeneca.

Unfortunately, due to current circumstances, this special day at the stadium won’t be possible, so the Community Trust are hosting a Virtual Active Science Week instead. This event will be taking place from July 6th to July 10th and will be held on various platforms including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

There are a wide range of activities and events planned for the week, including virtual experiments, lessons and field trips, as well as daily science quizzes.

One of the highlights of the week will be Q & A sessions with AstraZeneca scientists and CUFC players. Therefore, if you have a child who would like to ask a question please fill in this online form:  https://forms.gle/DDqTyXZwfXe3mBWP7. Questions could be about their jobs, links between science and sport, or about science and sport in general.

The Trust are also pleased to be collaborating with the Cambridge Science Centre, who will sharing an experiment that involves lots of custard!
