WATCH | LUKE HANNANT ON RETURN TO FITNESS AHEAD OF PRE-SEASON

Luke Hannant completed a full football training session for the first time in six months at the Inc. Training Ground this morning, and caught up with iFollow afterwards.

As well as the long break from action caused by the covid-19 outbreak which led to the curtailment of the 2019/20 season, the U's energetic forward had also missed a significant period prior to that, having sustained an ankle injury in late January.

Hannant has therefore in recent months had to work through both a rehabilitation programme provided by Head of Medical, Mikey Burroughs, and the first team off-season programme put together to keep the player's fitness level on track by Head of Performance Matt Walker.

Following his first full session back with the ball at his feet this morning, he spoke to iFollow and the full interview can be viewed above.
