Cambridge United would like to offer our sincere thanks to all those involved in Saturday's Remembrance Ceremony at the Abbey Stadium.

The Club were joined by a corps of drums and two buglers representing the Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force, whilst over 40 guests from the Royal Anglian Regiment attended too as the Club marked its respects ahead of kick off with a ceremony for those who bravely sacrificed their today for our tomorrow.

Cambridge United would like to make an extra special thank you to Vanessa Burkitt, Maj James Wood and Pte Simon Ntege for their roles in bringing together Saturday's event.

THIS WEEKEND'S MINUTE'S SILENCE:

Due to plans being in place for the ceremony with the Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force and the Royal Anglian Regiment before the FA Cup First Round Draw in which Cambridge United were drawn at home this weekend, the Club has held it's main Remembrance Day tribute on Saturday against Crawley Town.

However with Cambridge United's home fixture against Exeter City this weekend now the closest home fixture to Remembrance Day, the Club will still be having another minute's silence before kick off to remember the servicemen, women and former players who have given their lives serving for our country.
