Kershaw and Saffron Building Society tasted success across two nights of corporate six-a-side at the Abbey Stadium this week, setting up an exciting grand final of the CB Groundworks Cup.
24 teams representing local companies from across the city, pulled on their boots and graced the Abbey pitch on Monday and Wednesday evening, for the highly popular annual six-a-side competition.
Monday night’s tournament saw the team representing Kershaw battle their way through to the final before overcoming Hewitsons, which was followed up last night as Saffron Building Society followed suit by performing equally well to see off the side from Stace.
Cambridge United’s Head of Partnerships Nick Fairbairn commented: “We would like to thank all of the teams who participated, as well as congratulating them in contributing towards plenty of highly entertaining football over two fiercely contested evenings.
