FOUR U’S PLAYERS IN COMPETITIVE ACTION LAST WEEK

In Sky Bet League Two, Rory Gaffney played his first fixture for Bristol Rovers since joining on loan until January in a 1-1 draw with Exeter City at St James Park.

The Irish striker then played 78 minutes before being substituted by Manager Darrell Clarke. Gaffney followed that appearance up with his first full 90 minute, featuring in a 3-0 win over Wycombe last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Danny Carr was substituted on for Aldershot Town for loan debut at Aldershot Town. The Shots fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of National League high flyers Cheltenham Town last Saturday.

It was a similar story four days later with in-form Dover Athletic toppling Barry Smith’s side 5-2, Carr however making his full first appearance for the club.

Also in the Vanarama National League, October’s Player of the Month Will Norris continues his fine run of performances. 

The keeper secured his 11th clean sheet of the campaign in a goalless draw against Torquay United at the Amlin Stadium last week, before playing his part in a 2-1 away win over Tranmere Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

Finally, Ryan Horne made his debut for Ryman Football League - Division North side Soham Town Rangers last week, playing a full 90 minutes in a 2-1 defeat to Witham Town.  

The 20-year old has already registered his first goal for the club, scoring an this weekend to ensure that Soham secured a 2-2 draw against Tilbury.
