This afternoon's 3-0 victory against Grimsby Town confirms the U’s second-placed finish and promotion from Sky Bet League Two following a remarkable campaign, led by Head Coach Mark Bonner.
His side have broken a number of Club records this season, including striker Paul Mullin scoring the most goals of any Cambridge United player in a Football League season, the most number of away wins by a United team during a Football League season and Mark Bonner becoming the youngest U's Manager to win a Football League promotion.
Next season will be the first time the U's have played in the third tier of English football since 2002.
