WHAT YOUR SUPPORT LOOKS LIKE ON IFOLLOW – 2021 FIGURES

17 March 2021

What does your support look like on iFollow? Cambridge United are pleased to release figures for all games in 2021 so far, with U’s supporters continuing to excel in their backing of Mark Bonner’s side.

Over the course of the season, the U’s iFollow platform has had over 91,000 visits, with over 31,000 passes (match and audio) purchased to date. It truly is remarkable support and Cambridge United would like to re-iterate our thanks to our fanbase for the manner in which they’ve been able to stick by the Club from afar over the last 12 months.

In addition to season ticket holders who receive their iFollow access for free when the U’s play in Sky Bet League Two action at the Abbey, the Club has been averaging 700 match passes per home game to non-season ticket holders since the turn of the New Year.

Match Pass Attendances Home in 2021:

Harrogate - 697

Bradford - 715

Crawley -714

Southend - 756

Cheltenham - 736

Scunthorpe - 639

Walsall - 640

The Club receive £6.66 from every additional £10 match pass sold beyond the Club’s season ticket holders, as well as the value of up to the first 500 match passes for the travelling team to the Abbey. So the financial impact made by Cambridge United supporters in tuning into the action each week has been incredibly vital in the absence of fans being able to enjoy the action live in the flesh.

Meanwhile, having started with 640 total match passes for the opening away fixture of the season at Morecambe, the Amber Army are now consistently breaking the 1,000 match pass barrier in support of Mark Bonner’s side on their travels.

Match pass attendances away in 2021:

Grimsby - 1,015

Colchester – 1,213

Southend - 923

Barrow – 1,312

Salford – 1,163

Mansfield – 1,176

Port Vale – 1,170

Bolton – 1,121

Oldham - 1,174

With an average of 1,140 match passes purchased by U’s fans for away games during 2021, that means the Football Club have been able to generate £6.66 revenue for an average of 640 match passes per away fixture this year…the same total match pass figure for the aforementioned trip to Morecambe in September.

Whilst not disclosing exact figures for other League Two clubs, across the course of 2020/21 Cambridge United supporters remain in the top 5 of the division for their support on iFollow.

With ten games remaining, that incredible support is as crucial as ever, so get behind Mark Bonner’s side this Saturday at the Abbey against Forest Green Rovers. Click here to buy your iFollow match pass now.
