Following today’s Government announcement placing Cambridgeshire into Tier 4 of Covid-19 restrictions, Cambridge United can confirm all forthcoming fixtures at the Abbey Stadium, including the Boxing Day match with Leyton Orient (K.O. 1pm), will unfortunately now be played behind closed doors.
Whilst naturally everybody at the Football Club is disappointed and saddened not to be welcoming fans to the Abbey this Saturday, we recognise the importance of remaining vigilant when it comes to reducing risk of Covid-19 transmission.
Cambridge United would like to politely ask for the patience of supporters who purchased match tickets for the fixture against the O’s, with a full refund option available as well as the following alternative:
Supporters also have the option to use their ticket as a credit for a future fixture once fans are allowed to attend the Abbey Stadium.
Refunds will not be issued until week commencing Monday 4th January to allow for the Club’s ticket staff to handle this process over the Christmas/New Year period.
