Cambridge United can today confirm the Club has agreed the first meeting date with the newly formed Cambridge United Supporters' Panel on Thursday 25th July, 7pm.

The meeting will provide the first opportunity for CUSP since its formation in early April, to bring forward the views and queries of Cambridge United's fanbase directly to the Board members and club staff in attendance. As Supporters Liaison Officer and Fans' Elected Director, Dave-Matthew Jones will be chairing the meeting.

CUSP is a key component of Cambridge United's aim to continue improving the avenues of communication supporters have with the Football Club by working with fans - aligning closely with the principles of the Next Chapter initiative set out to provide a new experience and fresh appearance for the amber army upon their return to the Abbey Stadium in 2019/20.

Cambridge United Director Godric Smith commented: "We are all looking forward to the first CUSP meeting in July. The Board believes CUSP can be an important voice of the fans to ensure the Club is hearing both their concerns and suggestions for improvement. This is obviously a new initiative and we are very grateful to everyone who has agreed to give their time to it.

"There is a shared commitment on both sides to make it as constructive and productive as possible. We will all obviously ensure that a summary of the meetings is made available quickly afterwards for all fans."

CUSP Chairman Nigel Browne added: "We are very much looking forward to our first meeting with the Club and in order for this to be as productive as we would like it to be, we need supporters to provide as much of their views and queries as possible.

"It's important to the Supporters' Panel that we are able to articulate the viewpoint of our wide-ranging fanbase during our discussions with the Club. Only that way can we truly work together as a panel towards providing supporters with a feeling of being better connected to the Football Club.

"We can be contacted via email at and we look forward to hearing fans views, comments and questions. CUSP social media accounts to contact will also be available soon."
